Kashmir Valley Tour

Day 1 - Delhi to Srinagar -
From Delhi to Srinagar 1½ hour flight. We recommend by domestic flight. If by train, then from Jammu Railway Station to Srinagar by deluxe coach buses or by taxis and it would take us around 7-10 hours. On reaching Srinagar airport, 1- 1½ hour drive to House-Boats. Rest of the day is leisure.

Day 2 - Kashmir - Early Morning visiting the Shankracharya hill (Gopaditirath). 2Kms trekking and 7Kms by car, in the middle of the Srinagar city, on the banks of Dal Lake. It is a temple dating back to the 5th Century BC. After Shankracharya hill, visiting Nishant and Shalimar Gardens, Chashmashahi and Herwan. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 3 - Full Day excursion to Gulmarg and Khelyanmarg which is almost 35Kms from Srinagar at the elevation of 8,200 feet above sea level. The most beautiful meadow on Indian sub-continent. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 4 - Visiting Srinagar City and all the major attractions of Srinagar like Jama Masjid, old city, Badshah’s mothers’ tomb at Zaina-Kadal. This day you’ll also visit Hazratbal Shrine and Nageen Lake. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 5 - Srinagar to Pahalgam - (Village of Shepherds)
Check out and drive to Pahalgam.
• Pahalgam is 85KMs from Srinagar, en-route we visit famous Saffron cultivation at Pampore and 8th century Avantipore ruins of temples.
• We’ll today also see Anantnag, where we will visit the Nagbal temple and the Muslim shrine with sulphur springs.
• It will take us 3 hours to reach Pahalgam. Immediately we can visit Bysaran, 3 KMs from Pahalgam. We can also enjoy the beautiful greenery and the thick pine trees in Bysaran.
• The river Lydhar adds to the beauty of Pahalgam.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 6 - Pahalgam to Srinagar -
Early morning we can have horse riding and a visit to ancient Mamleshwara temple. We may as well visit Chandanwari, base camp for going to Amarnath pilgrimage. In the afternoon, we return back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 7 - Relaxing in a House Boat in Srinagar. We may as well take an afternoon boat ride, inside the Maer Naala and also enjoy visit to the Chaar-Chinaari (Four Chinaars Island) and Kotur-Khaan. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 8 Full day sight-seeing at Sonamarg with an overnight stay. Next day we visit the Thajvas Glacier. Also visit Baltal, base camp for Amarnath pilgrimage on Sonamarg route. If adventure demands, you may as well visit the Zojila pass. Evening back to Srinagar. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 9 - Visiting Srinagar Museum and obtain a special permission to visit the Dachigam wildlife reserve, famous for Hangul. You may also do last minute shopping. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.

Day 10 - Fly back to Delhi with memory of Kashmir Tour.
